Pre-launch draft

This Privacy Policy is a working draft for copyright.io and must be completed with the operating company, registered address, production subprocessors, hosting regions, and retention schedule before publication.

Data we expect to process

Copyright.io may process account and contact details, public creator identities and URLs, ownership-verification records, suspected-repost evidence, case history, support messages, device and security logs, billing identifiers, and communication preferences. Original content is not required by default; any optional fingerprint vault should require a deliberate opt-in.

Why we use data

We use data to run exposure checks, verify rights holders, provide patrols and reports, prepare and review enforcement actions, process payments, prevent abuse, provide support, secure the service, and meet legal obligations.

Sharing

Data may be shared with vetted infrastructure, authentication, database, email, analytics, support, payment, and enforcement providers as needed to operate the service. Evidence and contact details may also be sent to platforms, hosts, search engines, or advisers when you authorise an enforcement action.

Retention and security

We aim to minimise collection, restrict access, and retain data only for operational, billing, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal needs. Exact periods and safeguards must be finalised in the production policy.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete applicable personal data and can withdraw optional marketing consent. Some records may need to be retained where law or dispute handling requires it.

Contact

Privacy questions and data-rights requests can be sent to privacy@copyright.io.
